How do I Apply for a Visa?

The Royal Thai Consulate-General, Mumbai has introduced a new facility to meet the increasing demand for Thai Visas among Indians. It is our constant effort to provide greater comfort and convenience to our visa applicants. Applicants residing in the following states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Goa fall under the Jurisdiction of The Royal Thai Consulate-General Mumbai in the Western Indian Region. Applicants will have the facility to submit their applications at the nearest Thailand Visa Application & Processing Centre (VAC) as per their convenience. All information pertaining to Thai Visa Application is available on this website.

Travel Agents can now apply for Thai Visa through the website and at all our VACs. All Travel Agents have to fill the application forms manually. The forms are available on the website as well as at the VAC. Travel Agents are advised to follow the steps below:

Step 1

Fill your Visa Application Form
In order to fill an application form, all Travel Agents first have to register online to get a unique Travel Agent log in ID and Password. To register as a travel agent click here

Step 2

Book an Appointment
With the help of this Log in ID and Password, Travel Agents can book an appointment. To get an appointment click here.

Step 3

Prepare your Application File
Travel Agents can then print the required number of application forms from the website, fill them manually and submit at the centre at the chosen appointment time along with the checklist and other necessary documents. Forms are also available at the VAC.

Step 4

Submit your Application

Please submit your Visa Application with the checklist and all other supporting documents detailed on your checklist, at any of our nearest Thai Visa Application & Processing Centre. Please arrive on time for your appointment with all the documents, (Visa Application + checklist + all documents required in the checklist) organized in the order indicated.

 

Kindly note, if you do not attend your appointment at the time you have chosen, you will be marked as ‘NO SHOW’ for that particular day and under such circumstance a fresh appointment will have to be scheduled. In case you get delayed for your appointment, you may be required to wait until a counter becomes available. It is recommended that you do not arrive at our centre too early as you will not be attended to before your scheduled appointment.

Step 5

Application Processing, Payment of Visa Fee & Service Charges
Once you have checked in at our welcome desk, please collect your token number. You will be directed to a counter where our customer service officer will verify the presence and compliance of all of your required documentation. If the Visa Application Form or any supporting document is incomplete, you will be given a follow-up form indicating which documents are missing. Under such circumstance, you will be requested to complete the same and then schedule a fresh appointment to submit your application. If your application is in order, please proceed to make payment towards the applicable Visa Fee & Service Charges. Collect your Invoice Cum Receipt against application submitted, which needs to be presented at the time of passport collection.

Track your Visa Application
You can track the status of your application through our website link “Track your Visa Application”. Kindly key in your Reference Number and Passport Number for verification purpose to avail information on progress made towards your application.

Kindly note that it is mandatory for all Travel Agents to get an appointment before submitting the forms as it helps us to serve you efficiently.

For Outstation Passports : If any Travel Agent’s group includes outstation passports (i.e which do not originate from the jurisdiction of the Mumbai Consulate), then the travel agent is allowed to submit those cases only if he is able to provide the required information  on  his  letter head. The letter should include name of the company, names of the travellers with passport details, and the Travel Agent must take full responsibility of those outstation travellers.

Individual applicants have the option of filling visa application form either manually or electronically and take a print out and submit along with the checklist and other required documents. Step 1

Fill your Visa Application Form
All Individual Applicants have to fill Visa Application form online or manually and take a print of the same. Please remember to also take a print of your checklist and organise all documents required in the checklist.

Step 2

Book an Appointment or walk in
You may make an appointment by calling or just walk in, for submitting your Visa Application, checklist and other supporting document's at any of CKGS Thai Visa Application & Processing Centres.

Step 3

Prepare your Application File
Please arrange all your documents as per the requisite document checklist in proper sequence as specified carefully. Please sign your document/(s) wherever necessary. Two recent photographs of the applicant Size- 3.5x4.5 cm, white background, & matt finish are required with the application

Step 4

Submit your Application
Please submit your Visa Application with the checklist and all other supporting documents detailed on your checklist, at any of our nearest Thai Visa Application & Processing Centre. Please arrive on time for your chosen appointment with all the documents, (Visa Application + checklist + all documents required in the checklist) organized in the order indicated.

Step 5

Kindly key in your Reference Number and Passport Number for verification purpose to avail information on progress made towards your application. You can also call on our helpline number or email us to check the status of your passport.

Step 7

Passport Return
Once your visa application has been processed by the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Mumbai, an SMS notification is sent informing you to come and collect your passport from the CKGS Thailand Visa Application & Processing Centre. If during the time of submission, you have opted to receive your passport through courier, then your passport will be couriered to you the same day it arrives at our centre from the Consulate.

Step 8

Collect your Passport
To collect your passport physically, please visit our Thai Visa Application & Processing Centre with your Invoice Cum Receipt assigned at the time of submission of your application.

If you wish to designate a representative to collect your passport, then under such situation your representative should bring a written authorization letter signed by you, along-with your Invoice Cum Receipt, and an original copy of their own photographic ID, such as a passport or driving license. Once your application process is complete, all of your records will get automatically purged from our servers.

Kindly note that incomplete application/’s will not be accepted.
